Good afternoon,

I am a beginner in programming language (Pyzo).
I want to know what version of Python I must to learn to use, beside of
basic language, because I want to integrate in my site 1 page in which
users to can made calculus based on my formulas already write behind (the
users will only complete some field, and after push "Calculate" button will
see the results in form of: table, graphic, and so on ...).
Please take into account that behind will be more mathematical
equations/formulas, so the speed I think must be take into account.

I waiting with higher interest your feedback.

Thanks to all members of community for support and advice.
Keep in touch.
Kind regards.

Hi,

If you are a beginner, I’d definitely start with Python 3. I’d start with using just cPython (i.e. the “normal” python). Then, if performance is an issue you could look at e.g. Pypy or Numba to speed things up.

Since you mention putting things on a website, you could also consider using a Python implementation that runs in the browser, such as Brython or Skulpt.

Regards,
Almar

Good morning,

Because I am beginner I already read some documentations/articles regarding
to efficiency of Python based on what do you have need to do.
You already specified 2 versions of Python which I can use it if I want to
made "things" in my site and to can be used from browsers (*Brython or
Skulpt*).

But for engineering domain are such a versions ? I ask this because in
engineering must be create graphics, tables, images, and so on ...

Indeed, Brython ans Skulpt are not suitable for engineering related work. E.g. they do not support numpy.

As I mentioned earlier, you’ll want to learn Python 3, not 2. Python 3.6 is out, so I’d just go with that :)
